The first report is due between January 1 and April 15 of the year after incorporation.
Fee
$20 on time - and Montana has waived the on-time fee for filings made by April 15 through 2027, so it is currently free. $35 if filed after April 15.

If it is late

The fee rises to $35 after April 15 - the higher fee is the only monetary penalty, with no interest on top. A corporation 120 days past due can be listed for dissolution, with 90 days after notice to correct.
