Fernway

Privacy Policy

Effective August 1, 2026

What this covers

This policy covers the Fernway website (fernway.io) and the Fernway app (app.fernway.io). Fernway is a dashboard for managing LLCs you already own - deadlines, documents, expenses, and ownership records.

What we collect

We collect what you give us to run the service, and nothing beyond it:

  • Your account details - name and email - handled through our sign-in provider.
  • The entity information you enter: LLC names, states, state file numbers, deadlines, ownership structure, and expenses you log.
  • Documents you upload to your vault.
  • If you connect a bank account, transaction data through Plaid. We never see or store your bank credentials.
  • Error reports when something breaks, with sensitive fields removed before they leave our infrastructure.
  • Aggregate, cookieless analytics on the marketing site - page views, not profiles.

How we use it

To run Fernway: compute your deadlines, send you reminder emails, store and return your documents, and respond when you contact us. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not share your information with anyone except the service providers below.

How documents are stored

Documents live in a private store that is never publicly addressable. Every download goes through an authenticated request that checks the document belongs to your account before returning it.

Service providers

Fernway runs on a small set of providers, each used for one job: Vercel (hosting and document storage), Clerk (sign-in), Plaid (bank connections), Resend (email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring), and Ahrefs (marketing-site analytics).

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and everything in it, email hello@fernway.io and we will remove it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note it here with a new effective date. Questions go to hello@fernway.io.
