Biennial report for Kansas corporations: due date, fee, and late penalty
Biennial report
- Due
- Due April 15, every second year matching the odd or even parity of the year the formation documents were filed (nonprofit corporations file by June 15 on the same cycle).
- First one
- First report due two years after formation - a corporation formed in an even year owes its first report the next even year.
- Fee
- $90 online or $110 on paper for profit corporations; nonprofit corporations pay $80 either way.
- Frequency
- Biennial
If it is late
Kansas allows 90 days past the deadline and mails a warning within 60 days of it; once the 90 days run out it forfeits the articles of incorporation. A report put in the mail inside that window counts by its postmark.
