Questions
01Where does this data come from?
Every figure comes from the MyLA311 case datasets on Los Angeles Open Data, the city's own record, refreshed daily. The city publishes one dataset per year, and this page reads the two that cover the last 12 months. Information-only calls are left out everywhere on this page, since they describe a phone call, not a building.
02Do complaints show who filed them?
No. The public dataset carries no names or contact details, so a report shows what was filed at an address, never who filed it.
03Why does my address return nothing?
The dataset stores the street address with postal abbreviations, like 100 S Main St. Search without an apartment or unit number. A building with no result has had no request in the last 12 months.
